Assessment Pack 1: Lactate Profile £95
This assessment measures your blood lactate response to increasing levels of exercise using finger tip blood sampling. This can be done on your own bike attached to a computerised turbo trainer, on a state-of-the art cycle ergometer or on a treadmill. These data can be used to identify the position of your lactate threshold and turnpoint which are important determinants of endurance performance and calculate your heart rate and power/pace-based training zones. This allows you to carefully monitor your fitness and performance changes.
Assessment Pack 2: Lactate Profile & VO2max £195
This assessment not only measures your blood lactate response to exercise [see above] but also measures your breath by breath oxygen consumption using the very latest technology. This can be done on your bike attached to a computerised turbo trainer or on a treadmill. This provides the gold standard measure of aerobic fitness, your exercise economy, calorie expenditure and carbohydrate and fat usage during exercise in addition to determining your heart rate and power/pace-based training zones. This allows you to explore your exercise physiology and allows you to carefully monitor your exercise capacity, fitness and performance changes.
Assessment Pack 3: Body Composition, Nutritional Analysis, Lactate Profile & VO2max £295
This assessment includes everything in Assessment Pack 2 but in addition provides a comprehensive assessment of your body composition and nutritional intake and expenditure. Body composition is assessed by measuring your body dimensions and the percentage of body fat and lean muscle mass you have. This allows you to accurately optimise your body composition for your specific sport and monitor changes as a result of your training. The nutritional analysis involves the completion of a 7-day food diary to identify any deficiencies in your current intake and allow us to provide advice to optimise your nutrition strategy in relation to your current level of physical activity, training and sports competition.
All assessments include a feedback consultation and an electronic report.
